Bill

This painting is a nod to my grandfather, Bill Hutchins, who was a ham radio operator back in the days before the internet and cell phones! He and his fellow "Roosters" would awaken before the crack of dawn to crow to one another over their radios. The hen in the background; well she kinda wears the expression of my grandmother, Natalie, who put up with this early morning chat.
I photographed these two colorful birds at a poultry farm down the street and had a great time with the paint!
